CBSE Exam Timetable 2027 for Class 10 and 12: Check Expected Dates!

CBSE Exam Timetable 2027 is awaited for Class 10 and Class 12 students preparing for the upcoming board examinations. As of October 12, 2026, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not officially announced the final date sheet or confirmed its release date. You can check the expected exam schedule, important updates and steps to download the timetable below.

The CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams are expected to take place in early 2027. However, you should treat any subject-wise dates shared before the official notification as tentative. The final timetable will be available through the board's official website, cbse.gov.in.

When will the CBSE Exam Timetable 2027 be released?

CBSE has not confirmed the release date for the Class 10 and Class 12 date sheets. Last year, the board issued a tentative date sheet for the 2026 examinations on September 24, 2025, followed by the final timetable on October 30, 2025.

Based on this previous schedule, students may expect the CBSE date sheet 2027 around this period. However, the board has not confirmed that it will follow the same timeline this year.

What are the expected CBSE Class 10 and 12 exam dates for 2027?

The expected schedule can help you plan revision and complete your syllabus on time. The following table gives a broad overview based on the usual examination calendar, not an officially confirmed timetable.

Note: These are expected periods, not confirmed examination dates. Check the official CBSE notification before making travel plans or finalising your revision timetable.

What details will the CBSE date sheet 2027 include?

Once released, the CBSE board exam timetable will help you check when each subject examination is scheduled. It will also provide instructions to follow on exam days.

You can expect the date sheet to include:

• Class and examination session
• Subject names and subject codes
• Subject-wise examination dates
• Exam timings and duration
• Instructions for students
• Important examination guidelines

Check the subject code carefully, especially if you have opted for an elective or vocational subject. This will help you avoid confusion between subjects with similar names.

How can you download the CBSE Exam Timetable 2027 PDF?

You will be able to download the Class 10 and Class 12 date sheets online without visiting your school. Follow these steps once CBSE activates the official download link.

You should also keep an offline copy of the timetable. It will be easier to check your upcoming papers without searching for the notification again.

What should you do while waiting for the CBSE date sheet 2027?

You do not need to wait for the final timetable to begin your revision. Use this time to strengthen your preparation and keep track of official announcements.

• Complete your syllabus: Focus on chapters that need more practice.
• Practise sample papers: Use the Class 10 and Class 12 sample papers available through the CBSE Academic website.
• Review marking schemes: Understand how answers are assessed and how marks are awarded.
• Prepare a revision plan: Divide your study time between subjects instead of waiting for the final dates.
• Check official notices: Follow updates on the CBSE website and avoid relying on unverified date sheets shared on social media.

CBSE has also published sample question papers and marking schemes for the 2027 examinations. These resources can help you understand the question paper format and practise before the board exams.

Will the CBSE Class 10 board exams be held in two phases in 2027?

The Class 10 examination plan includes a two-board-exam system. The main examination is expected in February–March 2027, while a second examination window is expected later in the year for eligible students under the applicable rules.

You should check the official CBSE guidelines for details about eligibility, improvement opportunities, and the second examination. Do not assume that every student must appear in both phases.
