CBSE Class 10 Sample Papers 2025 Released: Maths & Social Science

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Class 10 sample papers 2025, providing students with detailed insights into the question patterns for the upcoming board examinations. The papers include Mathematics, English, and Social Science, giving students clarity on the structure and marking scheme. According to CBSE, these sample papers are aimed at helping students understand the expected question formats and prepare effectively for the exams.

 

Class 10 Mathematics Sample Paper 2025

The Mathematics paper for Class 10 is structured with a total of 38 questions distributed across five parts. The sample paper outlines the types of questions that students can expect, helping them plan time and attempt strategies for the actual exam. The structure is as follows:

  • Section A: 20 questions
  • Sections B and C: Remaining 18 questions, including short-answer and long-answer types
  • Total marks and individual question weightage have been specified in the sample papers

This structured format aims to ensure clarity in evaluation and guide students in focusing on important topics.

 

Class 10 Social Science Sample Paper 2025

For Social Science, students are required to attempt all 38 questions, carrying a total of 80 marks. CBSE has categorized questions into three types:

  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): 20 questions
  • Short-answer questions: Each with a 40-word limit
  • Case-based questions: Each carrying 4 marks

CBSE City Coordinator AC Jha stated that the sample papers help students understand the depth and scope of questions, making exam preparation more structured. The English paper will feature 80 questions, divided into categories A, B, and C, with Section A including 20 questions. The sample papers guide students on time management and the type of questions to prioritize.
