NMAT 2025 Additional Exam Phase Likely in January, GMAC Update Soon

The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) may conduct an additional exam phase for NMAT 2025 in January 2026, following the trend observed in previous admission cycles. An official notification regarding the additional test window is expected by the last week of December 2025, though no formal confirmation has been issued so far. GMAC successfully conducted the main NMAT 2025 exam from November 5 to December 19, 2025, within a testing window of approximately forty-five days. As per the standard NMAT policy, candidates were allowed up to three attempts during this period.

Why GMAC May Conduct NMAT Additional Phase 2025

Over the past few years, GMAC has introduced an additional NMAT exam phase in January to accommodate candidates who were unable to utilise all available attempts or missed the initial registration window. This extended opportunity has helped late applicants and repeat test-takers improve their scores for MBA admissions. If the same pattern is followed for NMAT 2025, the additional phase is expected to remain open for a short duration of around five days, including registration, scheduling, and exam dates.

NMAT 2025 Additional Phase: Who Can Apply?

Candidates likely to benefit from the additional NMAT phase include:

• Aspirants who missed the original NMAT registration window
• Candidates who could not use all three allowed attempts
• Test-takers aiming to improve scores for select B-schools

However, candidates are advised to note that not all NMAT participating institutes accept scores from the additional phase.
