The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will begin the Class 10 Annual Secondary (Theoretical) Examination 2026 on 17 February 2026, with two examination shifts scheduled at all centres across the state. The exams are set to continue until 25 February 2026, with the first shift from 09:30 am to 12:45 pm and the second shift from 02:00 pm to 05:15 pm each day. Students are required to reach their centres well before the gates close to avoid any late entry issues.
BSEB Establishes 24/7 Control Room for Smooth Conduct
To support the examination process, the board has set up a dedicated 24/7 Control Room that became operational from 06:00 am on 16 February 2026 and will remain active until 06:00 pm on 25 February 2026. This initiative aims to provide immediate assistance and resolve any exam-related issues faced by students, school officials or guardians during the entire period. The control room is reachable via helpline numbers 0612-2232257 and 0612-2232227. BSEB has also connected district education officers, school heads and flying squad members to a WhatsApp group for real-time coordination and issue escalation.
BSEB Key Conduct and Security Guidelines Ahead Of Start
Ahead of tomorrow’s start, BSEB issued strict instructions to ensure discipline and fairness:
- Zero tolerance for malpractice: All examination centres will be closely monitored, with district officers and flying squad members enforcing strict vigilance.
- Entry time rules: Centre gates will close 30 minutes before the start of both shifts. Late arrival or forceful entry attempts can lead to exam cancellation or disciplinary action.
- Security procedures: Multiple checkpoints and surveillance at centres aim to prevent unfair practices and maintain exam integrity.
Students are also reminded to carry their admit cards, valid ID proofs and follow all guidelines provided by invigilators and centre officials.
BSEB Large-Scale Participation and Exam Significance
More than 15 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the BSEB Class 10 board exams this year, reflecting one of the largest school-level examination rollouts in the state. The successful completion of these exams is a key academic milestone for students progressing to higher secondary education. Ensuring orderliness, fairness and strict adherence to protocols remains a priority for BSEB and affiliated authorities.
