Candidates can check their JELET 2026 seat allotment result online using their counselling login credentials.

4. Submit the details to view the allotment status.
5. Check the allotted institute, course and other details.

WB JELET 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment: What After Result?

The next step depends on the type of seat allotted to the candidate. Those receiving their first-choice seat must complete document verification and admission within the given deadline. Failure to complete the process can lead to cancellation of the allotment.

Candidates allotted their second or later preference can pay the seat acceptance fee and complete document verification. They may select Yes for upgradation if they wish to remain eligible for the next round, subject to the counselling rules.

Candidates who receive an upgraded seat in Round 2 can either complete admission by choosing no further upgradation or continue for the next round where permitted. Those who have not received any seat remain eligible for the next round and may be allowed to participate through their existing choices or fresh choice filling, depending on the counselling rules.

WBJEE JELET 2026 Seat Acceptance Fee and Document Verification

Candidates receiving a seat allotment for the first time are required to pay the Rs 5,000 seat acceptance fee through the prescribed online payment method. Failure to pay within the specified period can result in cancellation of the allotment.

After payment, candidates have to report to the allotted institute for physical document verification. Important documents include the printed allotment letter, JELET rank card, Class 10 admit card or equivalent proof of date of birth, Class 12 marksheet, domicile certificate and applicable category certificates. Candidates should carry the original documents required by the allotted institute. The Board has also stated that counselling documents generated directly through the portal should be used; screenshots or manually reproduced copies are not treated as valid counselling documents.

WBJEE JELET 2026 Round 2 Upgradation Rules

Candidates who want to improve their allotted college or course should understand the JELET seat upgradation rules before selecting an option. If a candidate chooses Yes Upgradation, they can remain eligible for the subsequent round with their existing choices, subject to eligibility. Such candidates are generally not allowed to make fresh choices in the immediately following round.

Candidates choosing No Upgradation have to complete the admission process for their allotted seat. Failure to complete admission after opting out of upgradation can result in removal from further counselling. Round 3 will be the final round of JELET 2026 centralised counselling and will be conducted against seats remaining after Round 2.
