3. Non-teaching staff with disabilities recruited by the institution.
4. Fellowships provided to students with disabilities.
5. Scholarships provided to eligible students.

Universities have also been directed to circulate the instructions among their constituent and affiliated colleges and ensure compliance.

UGC Advisory 2026: Action May Follow Non-Compliance

The commission has warned that institutions failing to comply with the requirements under the RPwD Act 2016 may face appropriate action under the applicable provisions, including Section 89 of the Act.
