The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) chairman conducted inspections at several schools during the ongoing Madhyamik examinations to review compliance with examination rules. During the visit, mobile phones were seized from exam halls, highlighting continued violations despite strict instructions.

 

WBBSE Madhyamik Exam Centre Inspection Details

The inspection was carried out to assess examination arrangements and ensure transparency during the board examinations. Officials accompanied the chairman to evaluate adherence to WBBSE guidelines. During the visit, the chairman interacted with centre superintendents and invigilators, stressing the importance of maintaining discipline inside examination halls. The inspection focused on seating arrangements, invigilation procedures, and compliance with prohibited item regulations.

 

WBBSE Mobile Phones Seized During Madhyamik Examinations

The board has reiterated that mobile phones and electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside examination halls. Despite repeated advisories, several instances of students carrying mobile phones were reported. During the inspection, confiscated mobile phones were recovered from candidates found violating exam norms. WBBSE officials confirmed that such violations are treated as serious misconduct and may lead to cancellation of answer scripts or further disciplinary action as per board regulations.

 

WBBSE Warns Against Exam Rule Violations

WBBSE authorities have issued a clear warning that any breach of examination rules will invite strict consequences. The board has instructed exam centre authorities to remain vigilant and enforce guidelines without exception. The chairman emphasised that examination integrity cannot be compromised and urged schools, invigilators, and candidates to follow instructions issued by the board. The inspection drive is expected to continue across multiple centres to prevent unfair practices during the Madhyamik examinations.The board has advised students to report to centres without prohibited items and comply fully with examination rules to avoid penalties.
