The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), based in Dharamsala, has officially released the schedule for the Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (D.El.Ed. CET) for the academic session of 2026-28. This examination serves as a gateway for aspiring teachers to enroll in D.El.Ed. courses, a crucial step for those looking to build a career in education.

 

The application process for the D.El.Ed. CET will commence on April 4, 2026, and will remain open until April 26, 2026. Candidates who miss this initial deadline will have a second opportunity to apply from April 27 to April 29, 2026, albeit with an additional fee of Rs 500.

 

Dr. Rajesh Sharma, the Chairman of the Board, emphasized that the application is not limited to new candidates. It also accommodates students eligible for re-appear examinations in D.El.Ed. Part-I and Part-II, thereby allowing them to complete their pending qualifications.

Application Fees and Correction Guidelines

The application fee for the D.El.Ed. CET has been established at Rs 900 for candidates belonging to the General category. For applicants from SC, ST, OBC, PHH, and EWS categories, the fee is set at Rs 600. Payments are to be made exclusively through digital channels.

 

During the correction window from April 30 to May 2, 2026, candidates can rectify errors in their application forms. However, any changes to the category or sub-category will necessitate a personal visit to the Board office in Dharamsala, ensuring that all corrections are finalized before the deadline.

 

Re-Appear Examination Application Process

In addition to the entrance examination, HPBOSE has also outlined the schedule for re-appear examinations for D.El.Ed. Part-I and Part-II. These exams are slated to take place in June 2026. Eligible candidates must submit their applications through their respective institutions between April 2, 2026, and April 16, 2026.
