The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially revised the interview schedule for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. As per the latest notification, the Personality Test that was earlier scheduled for January 22, 2026, has now been postponed. The rescheduled interview will be conducted on February 27, 2026, in the forenoon session.
Reason for UPSC CSE Interview Rescheduling
The change in schedule has been made due to administrative arrangements linked to Republic Day 2026. On January 22, 2026, government offices will observe early closure owing to the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day Parade, making it impractical to conduct the interview on that day. UPSC clarified that the decision was taken to ensure smooth conduct of the Personality Test without logistical constraints.
Official Statement by UPSC
