UCEED 2026 and CEED 2026 were conducted on 18 January 2026 for undergraduate and postgraduate design admissions. Soon after the exams, candidates began sharing their experiences on student forums and preparation groups, discussing the difficulty level and nature of questions in both papers.
Although both exams are conducted for design courses, their purpose and target group differ. This difference was reflected in how candidates perceived the difficulty of UCEED and CEED 2026.
Difference Between UCEED and CEED Exams
UCEED is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Design programmes and is mainly attempted by students after completing Class 12. The exam focuses on testing basic design aptitude, creativity, and drawing skills.
CEED, on the other hand, is held for admission to Master of Design and other postgraduate design programmes. It is attempted by graduates and final-year students, which naturally raises the level and depth of questions asked in the exam.
UCEED 2026 Candidate Feedback
Candidates who appeared for UCEED 2026 shared largely balanced responses regarding the paper. According to student reactions, the overall structure of the exam was similar to previous years.
Drawing questions required careful time management, but the objective sections were not considered lengthy. Most candidates described the UCEED 2026 paper as moderate in difficulty, with a fair mix of creativity and aptitude-based questions.
CEED 2026 Candidate Feedback
Feedback from CEED 2026 candidates indicated a higher level of difficulty compared to UCEED. Students stated that Part B questions required detailed and structured answers.
The drawing tasks focused heavily on idea development and design thinking. Several candidates mentioned that some questions were time-consuming, making the paper more demanding overall.
Overall Comparison of UCEED and CEED 2026
Based on candidate responses, UCEED 2026 primarily tested foundational design skills and drawing ability. CEED 2026 placed greater emphasis on advanced design concepts, analytical thinking, and detailed responses.
As CEED is conducted for postgraduate admissions, many candidates felt that it was tougher than UCEED 2026. The difference in difficulty level aligned with the academic level and expectations of the respective exams.
