Over 200 school students representing more than 30 institutions participated in the Indo-Albanian Discovery Challenge, an international quiz-based event focused on cultural learning and global awareness. The programme was organised to encourage students to explore Albania’s history, culture, and its growing international engagement. The challenge brought together students from across the Delhi-NCR region in an interactive and competitive academic environment.

Quiz-Based Event Promotes Global Learning

The Indo-Albanian Discovery Challenge was hosted at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road and jointly organised by the school along with the Consulate of the Republic of Albania. Designed as a quiz-centric contest, the event provided students with an opportunity to:

  • Learn about Albania’s culture and heritage
  • Understand the importance of international cooperation
  • Develop curiosity about global affairs beyond textbooks

The competition created an atmosphere of healthy academic engagement and cross-cultural exploration.

Participation From Schools Across Delhi-NCR

Students from a wide range of schools took part in the challenge, reflecting strong interest in international knowledge-based activities at the school level. With participation crossing the 200-student mark, the event highlighted growing enthusiasm among students for global exposure and intercultural dialogue.

Educators Emphasise Importance of Global Exposure

School leadership highlighted the value of such initiatives in holistic education. The Principal of Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, noted that learning experiences beyond classrooms help students develop critical thinking and global awareness, which are essential skills in an interconnected world.

Albania–India Engagement Highlighted

Speaking at the event, the Honorary Consul General of Albania to India emphasised that engaging students at an early stage plays a crucial role in building long-term international connections. He underlined that Albania, a developing European nation in the Balkans, is steadily expanding its engagement with India across education, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Significance of the Discovery Challenge

The Indo-Albanian Discovery Challenge served as more than just a quiz competition. It acted as a platform to:

  • Encourage global citizenship among students
  • Foster cross-cultural understanding
  • Strengthen educational ties between India and Albania

Such initiatives are increasingly being viewed as important tools for preparing students to engage confidently with global perspectives in the future.
