SSC Reopens OTR Edit Window 2025, Check More Details Here.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has reopened the One Time Registration (OTR) edit window from 08 October 2025, allowing candidates to update or correct their registration details. The facility is accessible through the official website ssc.gov.in and will remain open for a limited period as per the prescribed timeline.

How to Edit SSC OTR Details?

Candidates who wish to make corrections or updates can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official SSC website ssc.gov.in.
  2. Log in using your OTR credentials.
  3. Access the Edit OTR option to update personal or contact details.
  4. Review the changes carefully and submit before the deadline.

The Commission has urged candidates to utilise the facility within the prescribed dates to avoid any last-minute issues.

Aadhaar Face Authentication Exemption for VH Candidates

In a notable move for inclusivity, SSC has exempted visually impaired (VH) candidates from the mandatory Aadhaar Face Authentication during registration. This adjustment aims to make the process smoother and more accessible for candidates with visual disabilities. Candidates needing assistance can contact the SSC Helpdesk via toll-free number 1800-309-3063 or helpdesk-ssc@ssc.nic.in.

SSC Strengthens Communication and Transparency

To prevent misinformation, SSC has launched its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, where candidates and aspirants can access official notifications.

Recently, the Commission has also implemented measures to enhance fairness and transparency:

  • Access to question papers, responses, and answer keys for candidates.
  • Option to challenge discrepancies with credible evidence.
  • Release of selected previous question papers as official sample sets to aid exam preparation.

These initiatives aim to make SSC recruitment more transparent, candidate-friendly, and accountable for the lakhs of aspirants appearing each year.

Delhi High Court Seeks SSC Response on Social Media Ban

On 08 October 2025, the Delhi High Court issued a notice to SSC regarding a petition challenging its restriction on discussing SSC exam papers on social media.

A Division Bench led by Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela noted that a blanket ban may not be justified, stating:

“You can't impose such a gag order. Discussing the paper after an exam is natural.” The SSC has been directed to file its response within three days.
