SSC MTS Exam Date 2026 Begins Feb 4: Shift Timings & Schedule

SSC MTS 2026 examination will commence from 04 February 2026 onwards at various exam centres across India. The Computer-Based Test will be held in four shifts daily for recruitment to MTS and Havaldar posts. The Staff Selection Commission has advised candidates to check their shift timings carefully and reach the centre well before the reporting time to avoid last-minute inconvenience.

 

SSC MTS 2026 Vacancy Details for MTS and Havaldar Posts

SSC MTS 2026 is being conducted to shortlist candidates for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) positions.A brief overview of vacancies announced for FY 2025–26 is given below:

  • Total vacancies: 7,948
  • MTS posts: 6,810
  • Havaldar posts: 1,138

The first stage of selection is the Computer-Based Test (CBT) starting from 04 February 2026.

 

SSC MTS Shift Timings 2026 for Computer-Based Test

The SSC MTS CBT will be conducted in four shifts each day. Candidates must note that the exam duration is 90 minutes.Before checking the table, it is important to remember that shift timing details are printed on the admit card and must be followed strictly.

Candidates must arrive at the exam venue at least 2 hours before the scheduled exam time for identity verification and security checks.Entry will not be permitted after the gate closing time mentioned by SSC.The reporting and gate closing schedule is provided below:
