The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to release the SSC CHSL 2026 Tier 1 result for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam soon on its official portal, ssc.gov.in. The result will be published in PDF format showing the list of roll numbers of qualified candidates and a merit list for Tier 2 qualification. Candidates are awaiting the result along with category-wise cut-off marks and the separate scorecard download link.

The SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier 1 exam for the 2025-26 recruitment cycle was conducted nationwide between 12 November and 30 November 2025. Millions of candidates who appeared for the exam are now waiting for the SSC CHSL 2026 Tier 1 result, which is expected to be announced shortly by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

 

When Will the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Result Be Released?

As of late February 2026, the SSC CHSL Tier 1 result 2026 has not yet been officially declared, but it is anticipated to be released soon on the official SSC website — ssc.gov.in. Once announced, the result will be published in PDF format containing the roll numbers of candidates qualifying for the next stage — Tier 2. The result PDF will also form the basis of the merit list.

 

How to Check the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Result?

Candidates must follow these steps to access their results when it goes live:

  1. Visit the official SSC website – ssc.gov.in.
  2. Navigate to the Results section on the homepage.
  3. Click on the “SSC CHSL Tier 1 results 2025-26” link.
  4. Open the PDF file and use Ctrl + F to search for your roll number.
  5. Download and save the result PDF for future reference.

The PDF will list only the roll numbers of the candidates who have cleared the Tier 1 stage and are eligible for Tier 2. Individual scorecards are usually provided separately.

 

SSC CHSL Tier 1 Merit List and Cut-Off Expectations

Along with the SSC CHSL Tier 1 result, the commission will release a merit list and category-wise cut-off marks determining qualification for the next round. Based on previous patterns and exam difficulty:

  • General (UR) candidates may see cut-offs around 137–142 marks.
  • OBC expected cut-offs are around 132–135 marks.
  • EWS, SC and ST category marks will have their respective benchmarks.

Cut-offs are generally influenced by exam difficulty, number of vacancies, performance trends, and overall competition.

 

What Happens Next After the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Result?

Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the Tier 1 result PDF will become eligible to appear for SSC CHSL Tier 2 examination, the next phase in the recruitment process for Group C posts such as:

  • Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)
  • Postal Assistant (PA) / Sorting Assistant (SA)
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO) / DEO (Grade A)

Only those meeting or exceeding category-wise cut-off marks in Tier 1 will be called for Tier 2.

  • The official result announcement date has not been declared yet — candidates should frequently check ssc.gov.in for updates.
  • Saving a copy of the result PDF and cut-off list is essential for Tier 2 eligibility confirmation.
