The Staff Selection Commission has released exam city details and admit card release dates for JE Paper‑II and CHSL Tier‑II exams in April 2026. Fresh scribe registrations are required for candidates opting for ownscribe facility.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published the schedule for exam city information and admit card issuance for the Junior Engineer (JE) Examination 2025 (Paper‑II) and the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025 (Tier‑II). Candidates preparing for these key government recruitment exams should take note of the latest timeline and related instructions.
SSC Exam City Details & Admit Card Dates for JE and CHSL Tier‑II
The commission has specified dates when candidates will be able to view their allotted exam city information and download their admit cards, along with scribe entry passes for those who require them.
- JE Paper‑II exam: 7 April 2026
- Exam city details available from: 27 March 2026
- Admit card & scribe entry pass release: 4 April 2026
- CHSL Tier‑II exam: 10 April 2026
- Exam city details available from: 1 April 2026
- Admit card & scribe entry pass release: 7 April 2026
Candidates can access both exam city slips and hall tickets on the official SSC website by logging in with their registration credentials.
Important Instructions for Candidates
The SSC has also issued key guidelines related to the “own scribe” facility for eligible candidates:
- Fresh scribe registration is mandatory: All previous scribe registrations made before 5 November 2025 have been annulled.
- Aadhaar authentication: New scribe registrations must be completed using Aadhaar‑based authentication on the official portal.
- Scribe entry pass generation: To generate this pass, candidates must submit the unique scribe registration number along with their details.
- Scribe mapping deadlines:
- For JE Paper‑II: Up to 3 April 2026 (11 PM)
- For CHSL Tier‑II: Up to 5 April 2026 (11 PM)
Only those candidates who complete the scribe mapping will be able to obtain the scribe entry pass alongside the admit card.
How to Download SSC Admit Card & Exam City Slip?
Candidates appearing in the JE or CHSL Tier‑II exams should follow this process to download their documents:
- Visit the SSC official website (ssc.gov.in).
- Navigate to the admit card or exam city information section.
- Enter registration number, date of birth and other required details.
- View and download the exam city slip first, then the admit card once available.
It is advised to verify all personal details on the admit card and take multiple printouts for the exam day.
What This Means for Aspirants?
These updates provide clarity on crucial pre‑exam formalities for two of SSC’s major screening tests. Candidates must ensure they complete the scribe registration if needed, download documents within the stipulated window, and check all details carefully to avoid last‑minute issues.
