PFRDA Grade A Selection Process 2026 Phase 1 Phase 2 Interview

The PFRDA Grade A Selection Process 2026 has three stages: Phase I online screening exam, Phase II online exam and Phase III interview. As per the official PFRDA notification, Phase I is scheduled for October 15, 2026, while Phase II will be held on November 20, 2026.

The recruitment is for Officer Grade A Assistant Manager posts in the General, Research, Actuary and Official Language streams. PFRDA has notified 30 vacancies for the 2026 recruitment.

What is the PFRDA Grade A Selection Process 2026?

The selection process has three stages. Marks from Phase I are used only to shortlist candidates for Phase II. They are not added to the final selection marks.

PFRDA will use separate cut-offs for the papers along with an aggregate cut-off at the required stages. The final selection will be based on Phase II and the interview.

What is the PFRDA Grade A Phase 1 Exam Pattern?

The PFRDA Grade A Phase 1 exam will have two papers of 100 marks each. The exam is scheduled for October 15, 2026.

Paper 1 is common to all streams, while Paper 2 tests the subjects related to the chosen stream.

Paper 1 has 20 questions each from English, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness, while Reasoning has 30 questions. Paper 2 for the General stream covers areas such as Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Economics and Pension Sector.

There is a 1/4th negative marking for both papers in Phase I. Separate cut-offs must be cleared in each paper as well as the overall cut-off.

How does PFRDA Grade A Phase 2 Selection Work?

The PFRDA Grade A Phase 2 exam will be conducted on November 20, 2026. It also has two papers, with each paper carrying 100 marks.

Paper 1 checks English drafting skills. For the General stream, Paper 2 covers Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act, Economics, Pension Sector, Artificial Intelligence, Media, Marketing and Communication.

For Research, Actuary and Official Language streams, Paper 2 focuses on the specialised subjects linked to the respective stream.

A 1/4th negative marking applies to Paper 2 in Phase II. Separate paper-wise and aggregate cut-offs are required for moving to the interview stage.

How are candidates shortlisted for the PFRDA Grade A Interview?

Candidates who meet the Phase II requirements will be considered for Phase III Interview. PFRDA has stated that candidates equal to five times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the interview, in order of merit.

For the 30 advertised posts, the number shortlisted can therefore be linked to the vacancy count, subject to the conditions in the official notification.

The interview can be taken in Hindi or English. Shortlisted candidates will receive information about the interview through email or call letter.

How is the final PFRDA Grade A merit list prepared?

Phase I marks are not counted for the final selection. They are used only to shortlist candidates for Phase II.

PFRDA will calculate the final selection using the marks secured in Phase II and Phase III. The authority has also stated that it may modify the selection process when required.

What is the PFRDA Grade A Application Fee 2026?

The application fee is paid during the online application process. Applicants applying for more than one eligible stream must submit a separate application and pay the required fee for each application. PFRDA allows an applicant to apply for a maximum of two streams.

The applicable fee should be checked in the 2026 recruitment notification before payment, as the amount varies by category.
