NTA Launches Official WhatsApp Channel for NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Candidates, Issues Fraud Advisory as the National Testing Agency has started providing official examination updates through a verified WhatsApp account ahead of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination. Candidates appearing for the medical entrance examination will now receive important notifications and examination centre details directly through the messaging platform. Along with the launch of the WhatsApp communication facility, the agency has also warned candidates against fraudulent messages and fake links circulating on social media. The NTA has urged aspirants to rely only on verified communication channels for examination-related information.

 

NTA Official WhatsApp Number for NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Updates

To simplify communication with candidates, the National Testing Agency has introduced a dedicated WhatsApp service. The facility is aimed at ensuring candidates receive authentic and timely information before the examination.The agency clarified that any WhatsApp account using the NTA name without a blue verification badge should be treated as suspicious According to the advisory, candidates should only trust messages sent from the following verified account:

  • Official Number: +91 78279 80287
  • Account Name: National Testing Agency
  • Blue Verification Tick Mandatory
  • Broadcast-only communication channel

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Candidates to Receive Exam Centre Information on WhatsApp

The initiative is expected to help students avoid misinformation and receive authentic updates directly from the testing agency. The service is intended exclusively for one-way communication and candidates will not be required to respond to any messages. The newly launched communication service will provide candidates with official information regarding:

  • Examination centre details
  • Admit card reminders
  • Important notifications

NTA Warns Against Fake Messages and Fraudulent Links

Ahead of the re-examination scheduled for June 21, 2026, the NTA has issued a strong advisory against scams and fake communications.Candidates receiving suspicious messages have been advised not to click on unknown links and to report such incidents immediatelyCandidates have been cautioned that the agency will never:

  • Ask for OTPs or passwords.
  • Seek personal information through WhatsApp.
  • Demand payments through messaging platforms.
  • Send question papers or answer keys.
  • Share leaked examination material.
  • Provide admit cards through external links.

NEET UG 2026 Admit Card Advisory Issued by NTA

The National Testing Agency has also clarified that admit cards issued for the earlier May 03, 2026 examination are no longer valid for the re-examination. Candidates are required to download fresh admit cards from the official website because many applicants have been allotted new examination centres.The agency has stated that reminder messages are mainly intended for candidates who have not yet downloaded their revised admit cardsImportant points highlighted by the agency include:

  • Previous admit cards are invalid.
  • Candidates must download the revised hall ticket.
  • A single printed copy of the new admit card is sufficient.
  • Those who have already downloaded the June 21 admit card need not download it again.

Apart from WhatsApp notifications, candidates are also receiving reminders through SMS and email.Candidates have been advised to type the website address manually instead of opening forwarded links received from unknown sources. The agency has specified the official communication channels:

The agency has issued guidelines to help candidates distinguish authentic messages from fraudulent communications.Any communication lacking these characteristics should not be trusted. Candidates should verify:

  • Messages are one-way broadcasts only.
  • No request for OTP, payment or personal information.

 

Reporting Fraud and Cybercrime Related to NEET 2026

Candidates who encounter fake messages or cyber fraud attempts have been advised to report such cases immediately.The agency has emphasized that candidates should remain cautious and avoid interacting with unknown links or unofficial accounts. Complaints can be lodged through:
