Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2026-27 today at 11:00 am in the Lok Sabha. This will be her ninth consecutive Budget presentation, reflecting continuity in India’s economic policy direction.

 

As part of a special youth outreach initiative, the Finance Minister will also engage with around 30 college students from across the country later in the day. The initiative adds a strong student-focused dimension to this year’s Budget proceedings.

 

Union Budget 2026-27 Live Viewing for Students in Lok Sabha

The selected students will witness the Union Budget presentation live from the Lok Sabha Gallery. This will offer them a rare opportunity to observe one of the most significant parliamentary events first-hand.

 

The student group includes participants from diverse academic backgrounds such as commerce, economics, medical education, and vocational studies. They also represent multiple States, ensuring broad regional and educational perspectives.

 

Finance Ministry Visit Under Budget 2026 Youth Initiative

Following the Budget presentation, students will visit the Ministry of Finance located at Kartavya Bhawan-1. During the visit, they will interact with senior officials and gain insight into how fiscal policies are planned and implemented.

 

The engagement is intended to help young citizens understand government functioning, policy formulation, and the role of institutions in national development.

 

Interactive Discussion With Nirmala Sitharaman After Budget Speech

Later in the evening, Sitharaman will hold an open discussion with the students. The interaction will focus on the priorities of the Union Budget 2026-27, its long-term vision, and its impact on youth and future opportunities.
