NIRF Rankings 2025 to Be Declared Tomorrow, September 4, 2025

The Union Ministry of Education will announce the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 Rankings tomorrow, September 4, 2025. These rankings evaluate institutions across categories such as Engineering, Medical, Management, Law, and Overall performance. Introduced in 2016, the NIRF Rankings have become a benchmark for admissions, placements, and academic visibility. In 2024, rankings were released across 16 categories, including new entries like Open University, Skill University, and State Public University.

NIRF rankings in the last three years have consistently reflected excellence in research, innovation, and teaching quality.

  • Engineering – IIT Madras maintained the number one rank in 2022, 2023, and 2024 due to its strong research output and academic performance.
  • Medical – AIIMS Delhi has been the clear leader, staying at the top for two consecutive years, with PGIMER Chandigarh and CMC Vellore following.
  • Management – IIM Ahmedabad dominated the list, with IIM Bengaluru and IIM Kozhikode strengthening competition among top B-schools.
