The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli has activated the online registration window for NIMCET 2026, the national-level entrance exam for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programmes across participating Institutes of National Importance. NIMCET Eligibility Criteria Overview?

To be eligible for NIMCET 2026, candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree (such as BCA, B.Sc., B.Com.) with at least 60 per cent marks or equivalent grade (55 per cent for SC/ST/PwD candidates). Additionally, applicants must have studied Mathematics or Statistics at graduation level. Final‑year students of qualifying degrees can also apply under the result‑awaited category, provided they meet criteria at the time of admission.
