NIFT Stage 1 Result 2026 has been declared earlier than expected. Candidates can download their scorecard from the official NIFT and NTA websites. Shortlisted candidates will appear for Stage 2 exams, dates to be announced soon.
NIFT Stage 1 Result 2026 Declared, Scorecard Available Online as the National Testing Agency has released the results ahead of schedule. Candidates who appeared for the entrance exam can now access their scorecards through the official portals. The result was expected in April but has been released earlier. Candidates can download the scorecard from nift.ac.in/admission and exams.nta.nic.in/niftee/ using their login credentials.
NIFT 2026 Stage 1 Exam Details and Shortlisting Criteria
The NIFT Stage 1 entrance exam was conducted on 8 February 2026 across 129 centres in 97 cities in India. The exam was held in both English and Hindi in CBT and PBT modes. The entrance test was conducted for the following programmes:
- B.Des
- B.F.Tech
- M.Des
- M.F.M
- M.F.Tech
- Lateral Entry Programmes (B.Des and B.F.Tech)
Shortlisting for Stage 2 has been done based on candidates’ performance in Stage 1. The selection process also considers the approved category-wise seat matrix and official shortlisting criteria.
NIFT Stage 2 Exam 2026 and Selection Process
Candidates who qualify in Stage 1 will be eligible to appear for Stage 2 of the NIFT entrance exam. The next stage will include:
- Situation Test
- Studio Test
- Personal Interview (as applicable)
The detailed schedule for Stage 2 will be announced in the coming weeks. Candidates must regularly check official updates to stay informed. For the B.F.Tech programme, the final result will be declared separately as per the admission process.
How to Download NIFT Stage 1 Result 2026 Scorecard?
Candidates must follow the online process to download their scorecard from the official website. Ensure correct login credentials are used. The steps to download the result are as follows:
- Visit nift.ac.in/admission or exams.nta.nic.in/niftee/
- Click on the NIFT Stage 1 Result 2026 link
- Enter application number, date of birth or password, and security pin
- Submit the details to view the result
- Download and save the scorecard for future use
Candidates shortlisted for Stage 2 must prepare accordingly and appear for the next phase as per the official schedule.
