The National Institute of Fashion Technology has officially announced the second round of seat allocation for design programmes. Candidates can view their selection status online and must submit their choice willingness along with the necessary fees to confirm their seats.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology has officially declared the NIFT Seat Allotment Round 2 Result on the online portal for students seeking admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate design courses. Candidates who registered for the regular counselling rounds can now check their allocation status by logging into the portal using their registered credentials. It is mandatory for all selected students to complete the subsequent seat acceptance steps and pay the required admission fee before the specified deadline to secure their seats.
NIFT Seat Allotment Round 2 Result
The official authorities have updated the admission portal with the allocation lists for the second round of counselling. Students who participated in this round can view their status online.
The allocation process determines the campuses and design programmes assigned to students based on their exam ranks, preferences filled during registration, and seat availability. Shortlisted candidates must download their provisional allocation letter immediately to proceed with the remaining admission formalities.
Students need to visit the official website nift.admissions.nic.in to access the login dashboard. After logging in, candidates will be able to view their status, submit their willingness for the allotted seat, and complete the mandatory fee payment step.
NIFT 2026 Admission Process After Round 2 Seat Allocation
Candidates who have been successfully allotted a seat in this round must carefully follow the required procedure to avoid cancellation of their candidature. The following sequence must be completed sequentially within the timeline prescribed by the administration:
- Check the Allocation Status Online: Visit the official portal and log in with your credentials to see if you have received a campus and course assignment.
- Download the Provisional Offer Letter: If a seat is visible on your dashboard, download the official provisional seat allocation letter for documentation.
- Submit Your Option Willingness: Choose your option whether you want to freeze the current seat or float to participate in the upcoming counselling rounds.
- Pay the Prescribed Admission Fee: Complete the online transaction for the required fee amount through the integrated banking gateway to lock your seat.
Any candidate who fails to deposit the institutional fees or select their willingness before the deadline will lose their allocated option. Such students will also become ineligible to participate in any subsequent regular seat allocation rounds conducted by the institute. Students who did not receive any allotment in this round will be automatically moved to the next round of seat allocation, provided they satisfy the basic eligibility norms.
