The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the NIFT 2026 provisional answer key for the General Aptitude Test (GAT) in mid-February 2026. Candidates will be able to download the answer key and response sheet online and challenge any answers within the designated objection window.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to publish the NIFT 2026 provisional answer key for the design entrance exam conducted on 8 February 2026. This key will allow applicants to check the correct answers for the General Aptitude Test (GAT) section and estimate their likely scores before the official results.
NIFT 2026 Answer Key Release Date and Download Details
Ahead of the results, NTA will make the provisional key available online, likely around 15 February 2026, based on previous years’ timelines.
Candidates can access their personalised answer key and question papers through the official NIFT portal by logging in with their application ID and password. Alongside the answer key, the response sheet will also be published so candidates can match their responses with the answer key.
How to Raise Objections Against the NIFT Answer Key
Once the provisional answer key goes live, NTA will open an objection window for candidates who feel any answer has been marked incorrectly. Challenges can be submitted online through the candidate’s login.
To file a challenge, candidates must:
- Identify the question number they wish to challenge
- Provide a justification or explanation for the objection
- Pay a non-refundable fee (approximately INR 200 per question) through the portal
An expert panel appointed by NTA will review all objections. If a challenge is accepted, the relevant answer key entries will be amended; no further individual communication will be provided.
What Happens After the Objection Period
After the window for objections closes, NTA will prepare a final answer key incorporating any necessary corrections based on valid challenges. There is no scope to contest the final key once published. Finalised answers will be used to compute official scores and prepare the NIFT 2026 results.
