The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the NIFT 2026 provisional answer key — along with the question paper and response sheet — for Stage 1 shortly at exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. Candidates can download the key as a PDF and raise objections by paying a per-question fee during the objection window before the final key is prepared.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will shortly release the NIFT 2026 provisional answer key for the entrance examination conducted on 8 February 2026 for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes including B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, M.F.Tech and MFM. Once published, candidates will be able to download the answer key PDF, question paper and their response sheet from the official portal exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. )
NIFT 2026 Answer Key: When and Where It Will Be Available?
The provisional answer key is anticipated to be released soon in the third week of February 2026, based on the trend from previous years. It will be made available on the official NTA-NIFT portals, where candidates can:
- Download the answer key PDF.
- View the question paper and response sheet.
- Compare their recorded answers with the official solutions.
This answer key helps candidates estimate their probable scores and identify potential errors before the final key is published.
How to Download the NIFT 2026 Provisional Answer Key?
To download the provisional answer key once released, candidates should:
- Visit the official NTA-NIFT portal at exams.nta.nic.in/niftee.
- Find and click the link titled “NIFT 2026 Provisional Answer Key / Response Sheet” once activated.
- Enter the roll number and date of birth or other required credentials.
- View and save or print the answer key PDF for reference. )
NIFT 2026 Objection Window: How to Raise Challenges?
The NTA will open an objection window immediately after publishing the provisional answer key. Candidates who identify discrepancies or incorrect answers can challenge them online by:
- Logging into the NTA NIFT portal with their credentials.
- Accessing the answer key objection link.
- Selecting one or more questions they wish to challenge.
- Providing supporting justification or evidence.
- Paying the objection fee of INR 200 per question.
Only paid challenges submitted through the official objection interface will be considered. Challenges after the deadline or without payment are typically rejected. After considering all valid objections, the NTA will prepare the final answer key, which cannot be challenged further and serves as the basis for the NIFT result declaration.
What Comes Next After the NIFT 2026 Answer Key?
Once the final answer key is released and results are compiled, the NIFT 2026 result will be declared, likely in April 2026, as per trends from past cycles. Qualified candidates will then move forward in the admission process, which may include counselling and further assessments for shortlisted students. Candidates are advised to monitor exams.nta.nic.in/niftee regularly for updates on the provisional answer key, PDF download links and objection submission timelines as the release window approaches.
