The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the city intimation slip for NIFT 2026 Stage 1 Entrance Exam scheduled on 8 February 2026. This slip will inform candidates of the city allocated for their exam centre and help them plan travel logistics. After the city slip issuance, the official NIFT admit card will be released ahead of the exam.
The city intimation slip for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Entrance Examination 2026 is expected to be released shortly by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This advance notice slip will help candidates planning to appear in the Stage 1 NIFT exam scheduled on 8 February 2026 by informing them about the city where their examination centre will be located.
What Is the NIFT City Intimation Slip 2026?
The city intimation slip is a preliminary document issued by the NTA ahead of the admit card. Its purpose is to notify candidates of the allotted exam city based on their preferences filled during the application process. It does not include the detailed exam centre address, reporting time, or shift timings — those details will be available later on the official NIFT admit card. Once the slip is released, candidates can use it to arrange travel, accommodation, and logistics well in advance of the exam day.
NIFT 2026 Exam Date and Cities
The NIFT 2026 Stage 1 Entrance Exam will be conducted on 8 February 2026 in 102 cities across India, as per updated centre lists released by the NTA. Being informed of the city early helps students prepare for logistics, especially if they need to travel out of their home location or plan accommodations.
How to Download NIFT Countrywide City Slip 2026?
Candidates will be able to download the NIFT 2026 city intimation slip once the official link is activated on the NTA NIFT exam portals. The general steps are:
- Visit the official NTA NIFT website (exams.nta.nic.in/niftee or nift.ac.in/admission).
- Click the City Intimation Slip link once it is available.
- Log in using the Application Number and Date of Birth (and password if required).
- View and download the city intimation slip for future reference.
Candidates should save and print this document, even though it is not needed to enter the examination hall.
City Intimation Slip vs. Admit Card
It is important for candidates to understand the difference between the city slip and the admit card:
- City Intimation Slip: Not an official hall ticket; only informs the exam city where the test will be conducted.
- NIFT Admit Card 2026: Will include detailed information such as exam centre address, shift timings, reporting time, and important instructions. It will be released later, closer to the exam date.
What Happens After City Slip Release?
After the city intimation slip is published, the official NIFT 2026 admit card will be released soon — usually a few days before the exam. Candidates must download the final admit card and follow all the instructions printed on it for the examination day. Staying updated by regularly checking the NTA NIFT official portals will help candidates avoid missing the city slip or admit card release once available.
