The NTA NIFT 2026 city intimation slip has been released on the official portal, informing candidates of their allotted exam city ahead of the 8 February entrance test. Students, especially outstation aspirants, are advised to finalise travel and accommodation plans while awaiting the admit card.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NIFT 2026 city intimation slip, giving registered candidates advance information about the city where they will take the NIFT Entrance Exam scheduled on 8 February 2026. This early notification helps aspirants plan logistics, travel, and accommodation ahead of the actual exam.
What does the NIFT City Intimation Slip show?
The city intimation slip confirms the allotted exam city and indicates whether candidates must travel outside their hometown for the test. It does not display the exact exam centre address, reporting time, or exam shift details, which will appear on the NIFT 2026 admit card, expected to be released a few days before the exam.
NIFT 2026 Exam Travel Planning Tips for Outstation Aspirants
Students needing to travel to another city for the NIFT exam should take the following steps:
1. Book Travel EarlyLock in train or flight tickets well ahead of time after checking the city slip. Booking helps avoid last‑minute price surges and limited seat availability.
2. Secure Flexible AccommodationUntil the admit card with centre details is out, it is recommended to book a stay near major transport hubs or central locations in the exam city. This provides flexibility once the exact venue is known.
3. Arrive a Day EarlyPlanning to reach the exam city by 7 February reduces the risk of travel delays due to weather, traffic or transport issues.
4. Know Local Transport OptionsFamiliarity with local public transport like metros, buses or cab services can help in reaching the exam centre efficiently on exam day.
What Happens Next: NIFT 2026 Exam Admit Card Details?
The NIFT 2026 admit card will include detailed information such as:
- Exact exam centre address
- Reporting time and exam shift
- Guidelines and instructions for exam day
Candidates should re‑verify their travel and stay arrangements once the admit card is issued. It is also recommended to carry a printed copy of the city slip, the admit card when available, and a valid photo ID to the exam centre.
