The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the provisional answer key for NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination on June 25, 2026, at neet.nta.nic.in. If you appeared in the re-exam on June 21, you now have until June 28, 2026 to review your responses and raise objections against any answer you believe is incorrect. Each challenge costs ₹200 — and the amount is fully refunded if NTA accepts your objection.

How to Download Your OMR Sheet and Challenge the Answer Key?
- Visit neet.nta.nic.in and click on 'Answer Key Challenge for NEET (UG) – 2026 Re-Examination' on the homepage.
- Log in with your Application Number and Date of Birth or Password.
- Your recorded OMR responses and the provisional answer key will appear side by side — go through each question carefully, especially in Biology and Chemistry where answer key disputes are most common.
- For any answer you believe is wrong, click on the question, select your answer, and proceed to pay ₹200 per challenge via online payment.
- Submit all challenges before June 28 and download your challenge submission confirmation.
Before you challenge: Do not rely solely on coaching institute keys. Cross-check with the official NCERT textbooks and at least two independent sources before paying the challenge fee. The ₹200 is non-refundable if NTA rejects your objection.
What Happens After the Challenge Window Closes?
NTA will evaluate all objections raised by candidates and subject experts. Where an official answer is found incorrect, the final answer key is revised accordingly — and in some cases a question may be dropped entirely, with marks awarded to all candidates. The final answer key is then used to calculate NEET UG 2026 scores and ranks. NTA has confirmed that OMR sheet scanning is still in progress for a portion of candidates. The result will be declared only after this is complete. Students should expect the NEET UG 2026 result in July 2026.
