The National Testing Agency is expected to begin NEET UG 2026 registration shortly. Ahead of the application process, NTA has advised candidates to update Aadhaar, category and PwD-related documents to avoid issues during registration.
NEET UG 2026 application form is expected to be released soon by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS programmes for the academic session 2026 must complete the online registration process within the prescribed timeline once the application window opens. Ahead of the registration, NTA has issued an important advisory asking aspirants to ensure that all mandatory documents are updated and accurate before filling the NEET UG 2026 application form.
NTA Advisory for NEET UG 2026 Candidates
As per the official advisory, candidates are required to update key identity and category-related documents to avoid discrepancies during the application and verification process. Students have been advised to regularly visit nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in for official notifications related to the NEET UG 2026 examination. Qualifying the National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (UG) is mandatory for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses across India.
NEET UG 2026 Documents to Keep Ready Before Registration
Before starting the NEET UG 2026 registration process, candidates must ensure the following documents are updated and readily available. The National Testing Agency has clearly instructed candidates to verify personal details carefully before submission.
- Aadhaar Card with correct Date of Birth, gender, photograph, address and biometric details
- UDID Card for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable
- Category Certificate for SC, ST, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates
All details entered in the application form must strictly match the information mentioned in official documents.
Other Documents Required for NEET UG 2026 Application
In addition to identity and category certificates, candidates should also keep the following documents ready in the prescribed format before the registration begins.
- Class 10 passing certificate
- Postcard-size photograph (4 x 6 inches)
- Candidate’s signature in running hand using black ink
- PwBD certificate, if applicable
- Left and right hand finger and thumb impressions
- Citizenship or embassy certificate for NRI, OCI and PIO candidates
- Present and permanent address proof
