NEET UG 2026 Application Form Live at neet.nta.nic.in – Dates & Fees

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the NEET UG 2026 application form on neet.nta.nic.in, with registration closing on 8 March 2026. The NEET UG 2026 exam will be held on 3 May 2026, and candidates must upload required documents, photo and signature as per NTA specifications
The NEET UG 2026 application form is now live on the official National Testing Agency (NTA) portal neet.nta.nic.in for aspiring medical and dental candidates. Eligible students aiming for admissions to MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate medical programmes must complete the online registration before the deadline of 8 March 2026 This year, the NTA has also strengthened identity and photo verification norms to ensure secure and accurate candidate authentication during the application process.
NEET UG 2026 Important Dates & Exam Schedule
The major dates for the NEET UG 2026 application and exam cycle are as follows:
- Registration Start Date: 8 February 2026
- Last Date to Apply: 8 March 2026 (till 9:00 PM)
- Correction Window: 10 March – 12 March 2026
- NEET UG 2026 Exam Date: 3 May 2026 (Sunday)
The examination will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode at numerous centres across India.
How to Apply for NEET UG 2026 at neet.nta.nic.in?
Candidates must follow these steps to register and submit the NEET UG 2026 application form:
- Visit the official NTA NEET website: neet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the NEET UG 2026 Registration link.
- Generate login credentials with a valid mobile number and email ID.
- Fill in all personal, academic and contact details.
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, thumb impressions and other required documents as specified.
- Pay the application fee online and submit the form
- Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
Documents & Photo Requirements
Before applying, candidates must keep the following documents ready in scanned format as per NTA specifications:
- Recent passport-size photograph (10 KB to 200 KB)
- Signature (10 KB to 100 KB)
- Left & right thumb impressions (10 KB to 200 KB)
- Class 10 mark sheet / passing certificate
- Class 12 mark sheet or appearing certificate
- Aadhaar card / valid ID proof
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Address proof and other relevant documents
Uploading correct and clear photo and signature files is essential, as discrepancies may lead to application rejection.
NEET 2026 Application Fee Structure
The category-wise NEET UG 2026 registration fee is as follows:
- General: Rs 1,700
- General-EWS / OBC-NCL: Rs 1,600
- SC / ST / PwBD / Third Gender: Rs 1,000
- Centres Outside India: Rs 9,500
It is advised that candidates complete the payment before the last date to avoid any technical issues.
Eligibility & Other Updates
Candidates must meet the basic eligibility requirements, including having passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, and must complete Aadhaar-based eKYC and photo verification as part of the application process. The NEET UG 2026 exam will determine admissions into medical and allied courses across India and is expected to see over 20 lakh candidates applying this year.
