The NEET SS Counselling 2025 cycle is expected to begin in February 2026, with registration and choice filling to be conducted online at mcc.nic.in/pg-medical-counselling. Eligible NEET Super Speciality candidates must complete the application process and meet qualifying criteria to participate in multiple counselling rounds for admission.

NEET SS Counselling 2025 Begins February 2026, Eligibility & Application Process

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will soon commence the NEET SS Counselling 2025 process for postgraduate Super Speciality (SS) courses, with applications expected to open in February 2026 through the official portal mcc.nic.in/pg-medical-counselling. This counselling facilitates seat allocation in various super-speciality programmes such as DM, M.Ch, and DrNB across participating medical colleges in India.

NEET SS: Counselling Registration and Rounds

The NEET SS counselling process is conducted entirely online. MCC will release the information bulletin and application link on its portal once counselling opens. The schedule usually includes:

  • Round-1 Counselling: Initial registration and seat allotment
  • Subsequent Rounds: Additional rounds based on vacancies and preferences
  • Stray Vacancy Round: Final opportunity to secure a seat post-earlier rounds

Candidates should regularly check the MCC official website for live updates on registration dates, fee payment deadlines, choice filling windows and seat allotment announcements.

NEET SS Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Aspiring candidates must fulfil specific eligibility conditions to participate in the NEET SS counselling process:

  • NEET SS Qualification: Candidate must have appeared for the NEET SS 2025 exam and secured a valid score.
  • Postgraduate Medical Degree: Completion of MBBS and MD/MS or equivalent recognised degree from a recognised institution is mandatory.
  • Citizenship: The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
  • Qualifying Cut-off: Candidates must meet the prescribed cut-off scores for the speciality in which they seek admission.

Meeting these criteria is essential for eligibility; applications from candidates who fail to satisfy the requirements may be rejected at any stage.

NEET SS Application Process for Counselling

Candidates who qualify for the eligibility conditions must follow these steps once the counselling registration opens:

  1. Visit the MCC official portal: mcc.nic.in/pg-medical-counselling.
  2. Navigate to the NEET SS Counselling 2025 registration link once available.
  3. Complete the online registration form with personal and academic details.

NEET SS: Cut-Off and Selection Rounds

NEET SS counselling cut-off marks determine eligibility for seat allocation. While the 2025 counselling cut-off will be published by MCC in the official information bulletin, past data shows variation across specialities such as Medical, Anaesthesiology and ENT groups. After registration and choice filling, candidates will be allotted seats based on scores, preferences, reservation norms and seat availability through successive rounds conducted by MCC.
