NEET Re-Exam 2026 is scheduled to begin at 2 PM on June 21 under strict security arrangements. Candidates are required to follow the prescribed dress code and carry the necessary documents.
The National Testing Agency is set to conduct the NEET Re-Exam 2026 from 2 PM to 5:15 PM on June 21, 2026. The re-examination is being held for eligible candidates under enhanced security arrangements. With the examination about to begin, candidates have completed reporting and verification procedures at their respective centres. The medical entrance examination remains one of the most important gateways for admission to MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate medical courses. Candidates are expected to attempt a total of 180 questions carrying 720 marks, making time management and accuracy crucial factors in determining performance.
NEET Re-Exam 2026 Reporting Time and Entry Process
Candidates were instructed to report to their allotted centres well before the examination. Verification procedures, including biometric authentication and frisking, began hours before the commencement of the test. Every candidate appearing for the examination is required to carry the NEET Re-Exam 2026 admit card, a passport-size photograph and a valid photo identity proof. Candidates belonging to the PwD category are also required to carry supporting certificates, wherever applicable. Strict entry protocols have been implemented to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the examination process.
NEET Re-Exam 2026 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
The examination follows the standard pattern prescribed for NEET UG. Questions are distributed among Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with Biology carrying the highest weightage.
NEET Re-Exam 2026 Dress Code and Prohibited Items
The prescribed dress code aims to facilitate smooth security checks and maintain uniformity at examination centres. Candidates have been advised to wear light-coloured clothes with half sleeves and avoid heavy accessories. Electronic devices, calculators, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, written material and other prohibited items are not allowed inside examination halls. Candidates found carrying restricted items may face disciplinary action as per examination guidelines.
NEET Re-Exam 2026 Security Measures and Examination Arrangements
The re-examination is being conducted under strict monitoring. Biometric verification, Aadhaar-based authentication and CCTV surveillance have been implemented to maintain transparency and prevent malpractices. Special observers and flying squads have also been deployed to oversee examination activities. These measures are intended to ensure a fair and secure examination environment for all candidates.
NEET Re-Exam 2026 Subject-Wise Weightage
The distribution highlights the significance of Biology in determining overall performance and rank. Understanding subject-wise weightage is important because Biology contributes half of the total marks available in the examination. Physics and Chemistry each account for one-fourth of the total marks.
NEET Answer Key 2026 and Paper Analysis After the Examination
Once the examination concludes at 5:15 PM, candidates are expected to gain access to memory-based question papers and unofficial answer keys prepared by subject experts. These resources are likely to help aspirants estimate their probable scores before the release of the official answer key. Detailed paper analysis covering Physics, Chemistry and Biology is also expected to become available after the examination. The analysis will provide insights into the overall difficulty level, topic-wise weightage and expected score trends.
NEET Result Date 2026 and Scorecard Details
After the answer key process is completed, the National Testing Agency is expected to announce the NEET Re-Exam 2026 result. Candidates will be able to download their scorecards through the official portal using their application credentials. The scorecard will contain subject-wise marks, percentile scores, All India Rank and qualifying status. The final answer key released by the authority will form the basis for preparing the result.
NEET UG Counselling 2026 and MBBS Admission Process
Following the declaration of results, the counselling process for MBBS, BDS and allied medical courses is expected to begin. Eligible candidates will participate in seat allocation rounds based on their ranks and category. The counselling process is likely to include registration, choice filling, Round 1 seat allotment, Round 2 counselling, mop-up rounds and stray vacancy rounds. Admission to government and private medical colleges across the country will be carried out through these stages.
What Happens After NEET Re-Exam 2026 Ends?
The conclusion of the examination marks the beginning of the next phase of the admission process. Candidates are expected to track updates regarding answer keys, scorecards, results and counselling schedules. With NEET Re-Exam 2026 commencing at 2 PM today, the next few hours are expected to play a decisive role in shaping the admission prospects of candidates aspiring for medical education in the 2026-27 academic session.
