NEET PG Result 2025: NBEMS Cancels 22 Candidates for Cheating

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has cancelled the results of 22 candidates for using unfair means in NEET PG exams held between 2021 and 2025. Among them, 13 candidates belong to the 2025 session. Additionally, 11 Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) candidates have also been disqualified for similar misconduct.

The board clarified that the scorecards and results of these candidates are null and void. Using these results for admission, employment, registration, or enrolment in PG courses is considered unlawful. NBEMS will not be responsible for any consequences arising from misuse of the cancelled results.

Disqualified Candidates Across Exam Sessions

The disqualification covers five exam sessions. The details are as follows:

  • NEET PG 2025: 13 candidates
  • NEET PG 2024: 3 candidates
  • NEET PG 2023: 4 candidates
  • NEET PG 2022: 1 candidate
  • NEET PG 2021: 1 candidate

One candidate, Srusti Bommanahalli Rajanna, was disqualified following a court order from the Karnataka High Court. The remaining 21 candidates were found guilty by the NBEMS Examination Ethics Committee after thorough investigation of malpractice incidents.

NEET PG 2025 Exam Under Legal Review

The NEET PG 2025 exam had over 2.42 lakh participants, with 1,28,116 candidates qualifying for MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses. The counselling schedule for admission is yet to be released. Currently, the exam is under court review due to a petition requesting the release of question papers and answer keys for transparency.

FMGE Candidates Also Disqualified

NBEMS has also cancelled the results of 11 FMGE candidates who appeared between 2021 and 2025. The June 2025 FMGE session recorded a pass percentage of 18.61%, a significant drop from last year’s 30%. Out of 37,207 candidates, only 6,707 cleared the exam.

NBEMS emphasized that it will continue strict action against cheating to ensure fairness and honesty in medical examinations across India.
