JEE Main 2026 Registration: Session 1 Expected from 15 October

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon open the registration for JEE Main 2026 Session 1, scheduled in January 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website jeemain.nta.nic.infor updates. The registration schedule was earlier announced on 29 September 2025 via an official notice.

 

The JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions, with Session 1 in January 2026 and Session 2 in April 2026. The registration for Session 1 is expected to begin from 15 October 2025. NTA has also released a demo registration link to familiarize candidates with the application process.

 

JEE Main 2026 Registration Process and Details

Candidates can expect the following steps for the JEE Main 2026 registration:

  1. Visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  2. Complete the registration using required credentials.
  3. Fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
  4. Upload scanned documents as per specifications.
  5. Pay the application fee online to complete the registration.

The exam format, timetable, and detailed application procedure will be available on the official website once the registration window opens.

 

Exam Schedule and Eligibility

  • Session 1: January 2026
  • Session 2: April 2026

The JEE Main 2026 is the qualifying exam for admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other participating institutions for engineering and architecture programs. Candidates who qualify in JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026 for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
