NEET 2026 Registration Begins; Aadhaar eKYC Process Explained

NTA has started NEET UG 2026 registration at neet.nta.nic.in, with Aadhaar-based eKYC now mandatory. Candidates must verify their identity using OTP authentication linked to their Aadhaar number. After eKYC, personal details will be auto-filled in the application form.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the NEET UG 2026 registration process at the official website — neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates aspiring to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2026 can now fill out the application form online. From this year onwards, NTA has made Aadhaar-based eKYC mandatory for identity verification during the registration process. The Aadhaar eKYC system verifies candidate details through the UIDAI database to enhance security and ensure accurate data entry.

 

How to Complete Aadhaar eKYC for NEET 2026?

Candidates must follow these steps to complete Aadhaar verification:

  • Ensure that the mobile number is linked to the Aadhaar card, as OTP verification will be required.
  • Visit the NEET official website and select the Aadhaar-based eKYC option during registration.
  • Enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number.
  • Input the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
  • Once verified, personal details such as name, date of birth, and gender will be auto-filled from Aadhaar records into the application form.

  1. Visit neet.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on “New Candidate Registration”
  3. Complete initial registration and generate password
  4. Log in and fill out the NEET 2026 application form
  5. Upload required documents
  6. Pay the registration fee
  7. Submit the form and download confirmation page

Candidates are advised to carefully complete Aadhaar eKYC to avoid discrepancies in personal details during later stages of admission.
