The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board has categorically rejected these claims, calling the circulating papers fake. The board has urged students and parents not to trust unverified information shared through online platforms and to rely only on official announcements.
KSEAB Clarification on Karnataka 2nd PUC Paper Leak Claims
Addressing the issue, the president of Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board stated that no question paper has been leaked for the Karnataka 2nd PUC 2026 examinations. According to the board, misleading images and videos being shared online do not relate to the actual exam papers. The board further confirmed that a formal complaint will be filed with cyber police authorities to identify individuals spreading false information. Students have been advised to remain focused on preparation and ignore rumours.
Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 2026 Schedule and Exam Pattern
As per the official timetable, the Karnataka 2nd PUC examinations will be conducted from 28 February 2026 to 17 March 2026. The exams will be held in a single session from 10:15 AM to 1:30 PM in offline pen-and-paper mode across examination centres in Karnataka. The board reiterated that strict security arrangements are in place to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the examinations.
Fake Question Papers Circulating on Social Media
Several reports indicated that some individuals were attempting to mislead students by claiming to provide original question papers in exchange for money.According to officials, such posts and videos were found on platforms like Instagram and other social media channels, with demands of INR 100 from students.Clarifying the situation, the board stated that there is no Karnataka 2nd PUC 2026 paper leak and warned students against falling prey to such scams.
Government Directs Monitoring of Social Media Platforms
Following the rumours, Madhu Bangarappa, the School Education and Literacy Minister, chaired a review meeting with senior officials. He directed authorities to closely monitor platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and X to prevent the spread of false information related to board exams.
Karnataka 2nd PUC 2026 Student Statistics
For the 2026 examination cycle, 7,10,363 students from 5,174 PU colleges have registered. Among them, 2,92,645 students are from the Science stream, 2,11,174 from Commerce and 1,42,982 from Arts, making it one of the largest board examinations in the state.
