Jharkhand JAC Board Exams 2026 Begin With CCTV Surveillance & Tight Security

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has begun the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations 2026 across the Indian state of Jharkhand, with strict security measures in place to ensure fairness and discipline throughout the testing period. Around 7.48 lakh students are scheduled to appear for the exams at multiple centres statewide. The council has adopted CCTV surveillance in all examination halls along with a prohibition on mobile phones for invigilators to deter malpractice and monitor conduct in real time. These measures form part of JAC’s efforts to maintain the integrity of the board examinations.

JAC Exams Schedule and Attendance

For the Class 10 exams, approximately 4.23 lakh candidates are appearing at 1,232 centres, while over 3.24 lakh Class 12 students are set to take their papers at 757 centres across Jharkhand. The Class 10 examinations began in the morning session, followed by Class 12 papers in the afternoon. The board exams are being conducted according to the official schedule, with Class 10 papers concluding with regional language examinations on 17 February 2026, and Class 12 core language papers scheduled to conclude on 23 February 2026.

JAC’s Security Measures to Ensure Free and Fair Exams

To uphold examination integrity, JAC has implemented multiple security protocols:

  • CCTV cameras are installed in all exam halls for continuous monitoring.
  • Invigilators are prohibited from carrying mobile phones during examinations to prevent communication breaches.
  • Additional directives were issued to ensure proper conduct and discourage malpractice.

Officials have emphasised that these measures are crucial to creating a secure and fair testing environment, reducing the likelihood of cheating or other irregularities during the board exams.

JAC’s Continued Focus on Exam Discipline

Jharkhand Academic Council’s secretary has indicated that adequate arrangements have been made across all centres, with adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout the examination period. Additionally, responses from state authorities indicate coordination with other agencies as needed for the smooth execution of the board exams. Candidates are advised to follow all examination rules strictly and arrive at their assigned centres on time with valid admit cards and necessary documents.
