The exams scheduled on 28 and 29 January will be conducted in two shifts. Candidates should reach the examination centre well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
- Shift 1: 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Shift 2: 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM
Late entry will not be permitted once the gates are closed.
Items Allowed Inside JEE Main 2026 Examination Hall
Candidates are permitted to carry only specified items into the examination hall. Carrying prohibited items may lead to disqualification.

- Valid photo identity proof
- One passport-size photograph

JEE Main 2026 Marking Scheme for BE/BTech Papers
The marking scheme for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics follows a standard pattern across sections.
Section A (Multiple Choice Questions):
- 20 questions per subject
- 4 marks awarded for each correct answer
- 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer
- No negative marking for unanswered questions
Section B (Numerical Value Questions):
- 5 questions per subject
- All questions are mandatory
- Answers must be entered as numerical values

Marking Guidelines for BArch and BPlanning Papers
The drawing test consists of two compulsory questions of equal marks. Candidates must use the drawing sheet provided and submit it to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall. Writing personal details or identification marks on the drawing sheet is not permitted. The planning-based objective section contains 25 multiple-choice questions, with 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark negative marking for incorrect responses.
