Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) had invited online applications for 470 Executive vacancies across engineering, marketing, law, quality control, and diploma engineering disciplines under Advertisement No. IOCL/CO-HR/RECTT/2026/01.

IOCL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The educational qualification differs according to the post. Candidates are required to meet the prescribed qualification and experience requirements before submitting their applications.

• Graduate Engineer: Full-time B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in the relevant engineering discipline with 65% marks. The minimum is 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
• Diploma Engineer: Full-time three-year Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline with 65% marks, with relaxation to 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
• Marketing Officer: Full-time MBA/PGDM in Marketing with 60% marks.
• Law Officer: LLB with 60% marks and two years of post-qualification experience.
• Assistant Quality Control Officer: M.Sc. in Chemistry with 60% marks and two years of relevant experience.

IOCL Age Limit 2026

The upper age limit was different for each category of post as of 01 July 2026.

Age relaxation is applicable to eligible reserved categories and PwBD candidates as per the recruitment rules.

IOCL Exam Date 2026

The IOCL CBT 2026 is tentatively scheduled for 24 September 2026. Candidates who completed the application process can expect the admit card from 15 September 2026.

The CBT will consist of 100 questions carrying 100 marks and will be conducted for a total duration of 150 minutes. The examination will have General Aptitude and Domain Knowledge sections.

IOCL Selection Process 2026

The selection process consists of three stages:

• Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Group Discussion/Group Task (GD/GT)
• Personal Interview (PI)

The CBT carries 85% weightage, GD/GT carries 5%, and the Personal Interview carries 10% in the final selection. There is also a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

IOCL Salary 2026

The pay scale varies according to the grade. Grade A posts carry a pay scale of INR 50,000 to INR 1,60,000 per month, while Grade A0 and Grade E0 posts carry scales of INR 40,000 to INR 1,40,000 and INR 30,000 to INR 1,20,000, respectively.
