ISRO Exam 2026: Check Latest Update, Scientist Engineer CBT and Skill Test Dates Here

The ISRO exam 2026 schedule has received important updates for candidates appearing in different recruitment examinations conducted by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The Computer-Based Test (CBT) for Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ posts in Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science has been postponed to October 29, 2026. The examination was earlier scheduled for October 19.

In another update, ISRO has listed November 1, 2026, as the tentative date for the skill test for candidates shortlisted under the recruitment drive for Assistants, Junior Personal Assistants (JPA), Upper Division Clerks (UDC) and Stenographers. Meanwhile, the application deadline for selected posts under ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC) recruitment has been revised to October 24, 2026. Candidates should check the relevant official recruitment notice to confirm the dates and instructions applicable to their post.

ISRO Exam 2026 Latest News and Important Dates

ISRO has published separate recruitment notices for technical, scientific and administrative positions. As a result, exam dates and selection stages vary according to the advertisement number and post applied for.

Candidates should check the correct recruitment notice rather than assuming that one examination date applies to all ISRO vacancies. The latest key updates available on the official ISRO Careers website are summarised below.

The Scientist/Engineer CBT date is listed as postponed to October 29 in the official notice. The November 1 skill-test date is explicitly tentative and may be subject to further instructions from ISRO.

How to Check ISRO Exam Date 2026 and Admit Card Updates

Candidates can check the latest ISRO exam date, admit card information and recruitment notices through the organisation’s official website. Since different ISRO centres conduct separate recruitment processes, applicants should identify the correct advertisement number before checking an update.

Follow these steps to find the relevant notice:

1. Visit the official ISRO Careers page.
2. Open the latest recruitment notice or the Current Opportunities section.
3. Find the advertisement number and post for which you applied.
4. Open the relevant notice to check the examination date, skill-test schedule or application deadline.
5. Follow the instructions provided for admit cards, candidate login and further stages.

Candidates should rely on official notices for confirmed dates and avoid treating tentative schedules as final. They should also check the registered email address and recruitment portal regularly for individual instructions.
