IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship 2026 Eligibility and Overview
The Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP) 2026 will run for eight weeks from 13 May to 13 July 2026. Eligible candidates include:
- Undergraduate students (excluding IIT Delhi) who have completed at least two years of an engineering degree and rank among the top ten in their class.
- M.Tech or M.E students (excluding IIT Delhi) who have completed at least one semester, rank among the top ten and hold at least 70 % marks or a 7.00 CGPA after the first semester.
IIT Delhi Fellowship Benefits: Travel, Stipend and Accommodation
Selected applicants will receive the following support under the SRFP 2026:
- Travel reimbursement: Train fare (sleeper class) for travel to and from IIT Delhi.
- Hostel accommodation: Boarding and lodging at IIT Delhi for the duration of the programme.
- Weekly stipend: ₹2,000 per week to support living expenses.
Fellows will be registered as visiting students and are not required to pay any institute registration fee. However, participants must arrange and pay for personal insurance covering accidents and accidental death during their stay.

The online application form is accessible on the official IIT Delhi portal. Applicants must upload the following documents:
