IGNOU Re-Registration 2026 Last Date Extended to 15 March

IGNOU has extended the January 2026 re-registration deadline to 15 March 2026. Students must pay a late fee while submitting the form. The extension applies to ODL and online programmes except semester-based courses.
Indira Gandhi National Open University has extended the last date for IGNOU January 2026 re-registration. Students can now submit the re-registration form until 15 March 2026. The extension applies to online and Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes, except certificate and semester-based courses. Candidates completing the process after the original deadline must pay a late fee of INR 200.
IGNOU January 2026 Re-Registration Details
Through the re-registration process, existing students can enrol for the upcoming semester or academic year. The university clarified that no further extension will be granted beyond 15 March 2026.
To complete the re-registration for the January 2026 session, students are required to pay the programme fee along with the applicable late fee. As per official instructions, candidates must pay INR 300 along with the late charges for programmes offered in ODL and online mode, excluding semester-based courses.
Students are advised to verify course details carefully before final submission.
How to Fill IGNOU Jan Re-Registration Form 2026?
The re-registration process is conducted online through the official portal. Applicants must use their login credentials to access the form. The step-by-step procedure is provided below:
- Visit the official website onlinerr.ignou.ac.in
- Select the IGNOU January 2026 re-registration option on the homepage
- Log in using the IGNOU user ID, password, and security PIN
- Click on the login button
- Fill in the re-registration form and select the relevant course
- Pay the required programme fee along with the late fee
- Save and submit the form
Candidates are advised to complete the process well before the closing date to avoid technical issues due to high website traffic. The university will not accept applications after the final deadline.
