IGNOU Launches Pan-India Placement Drive at Regional Centres

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched a large-scale placement drive through its Campus Placement Cell (CPC) for enrolled students and alumni. The pan-India recruitment event is scheduled to take place from 10 February to 13 February 2026 at six major regional centres located in Bijapur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Bangalore and Dehradun.

Placement Drive Focus and Participating Sectors

The placement drive aims to connect IGNOU learners — including undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni — with job opportunities from leading companies. Recruiters from Fintech, IT and BPO sectors will participate, offering positions such as:

  • Assistant Relationship Manager
  • Customer Support Executive
  • HR Generalist
  • Sales Expert
  • Collection Officer
  • Other key roles with competitive salary packages and incentive structures.

The initiative reflects IGNOU’s continuing efforts to enhance employability for its extensive student base and support career progression beyond academic qualifications.

Eligibility and Participation Requirements

Candidates interested in attending the placement drive must complete advance registration as specified in the official notification. Participants are expected to meet the following criteria on the event day:

  • Carry an updated CV and passport-size photographs
  • Bring IGNOU ID card and a government-issued photo ID (such as Aadhar or passport)
  • Carry PAN card, educational certificates and marksheets
  • Experience certificates (if applicable)
  • Formal dress code and strong communication skills for interviews

The regional placement drive will particularly benefit candidates residing in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand regions, providing opportunities closer to home and reducing the need for extensive travel.

What to Expect After the Drive ?

Selected candidates may receive job offers with competitive pay and incentives, depending on company policies and roles. IGNOU’s CPC continues to organise career support initiatives to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. Students and alumni are encouraged to check the official IGNOU website or contact their regional centres for detailed registration instructions, updates and timelines. Overall, this placement drive reinforces IGNOU’s commitment to enhancing employability and industry engagement for its diverse learner community.
