GATE 2026 Result Declared, Cutoff Marks to Be Released Soon as the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati announced the results on 19 March 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now access their scores through the official portal. The cutoff marks and topper list will be released shortly. Candidates can check the GATE 2026 result on the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in by logging in with their enrollment ID and password. The result includes marks obtained, score, and qualifying status.
GATE 2026 Cutoff Marks and Expected Release Date
The cutoff marks for GATE 2026 will determine the minimum qualifying score required for admission and recruitment processes. Based on previous trends, the cutoff is expected soon. Last year, the cutoff marks and topper list were released on 25 March, a few days after the result announcement. Following the same trend, the GATE 2026 cutoff marks are expected in the fourth week of March 2026.

GATE 2026 Scorecard and Counselling Process Details
After the result declaration, the next step is the release of the scorecard and counselling registration. These are crucial for admission to participating institutes. The GATE 2026 scorecard will be available for download from 27 March 2026 through the GOAPS portal. Candidates must use their login credentials to access it.
Following this, the counselling portals will be activated:
- COAP for admission to IITs
- CCMT for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs
The counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds based on seat availability. Qualified candidates are advised to keep all required documents ready in advance for a smooth admission process.
