The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 examination cycle has reached its final stage. After conducting the exam in February, IIT Guwahati released the GATE 2026 provisional answer key and response sheets for candidates. The objection window for challenging the answer key has now closed, and candidates are awaiting the release of the final answer key and result announcement.
GATE 2026 Answer Key and Objection Window Details
The organising institute published the provisional GATE 2026 answer key on the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in along with the master question papers and candidate response sheets. Candidates were given an opportunity to review the answers and submit objections within the specified time frame. During this process, applicants could challenge any answer by providing valid supporting documents through the GOAPS portal. After the submission deadline, the answer key challenge window has now been closed. The authorities will evaluate all the submitted objections before publishing the final GATE 2026 answer key.
GATE 2026 Result Date and Scorecard Release
Candidates who appeared for the national-level engineering entrance examination are now waiting for the result announcement. According to the official schedule released earlier by IIT Guwahati, the GATE 2026 result is expected around 19 March 2026. The final answer key is also likely to be released around the same time after reviewing the objections. Once the results are announced, candidates will be able to check their qualifying status and marks through the GOAPS portal.
