  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Signature on white paper
  • Valid ID proof
  • Category, Dyslexic, or PwD certificates (if applicable) in PDF

 

GATE 2026 Photograph Specifications

  • Size: 3.5 × 4.5 cm, face covering 60–70%
  • Plain background, frontal face view with visible forehead, eyes, nose, and chin
  • No caps, hats, tinted glasses; spectacles allowed
  • File format: JPG/JPEG, aspect ratio 0.66–0.89
  • Resolution: 200×260 (min) to 530×690 (max), file size 5–600 kB
  • Head coverings allowed only for religious reasons

  • File format: JPG/JPEG, black or blue ink
  • Aspect ratio: 1:R (R = 2.75–3.75)
