The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has specified CUET 2026 subject mapping for undergraduate admissions. Candidates must choose the right combination of CUET domain or general test subjects that match the eligibility requirements of their targeted CUK programmes to avoid disqualification

Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programmes at the Central University of Karnataka (CUK) through CUET UG 2026 must pay close attention to the subject mapping criteria. The university will use the CUET subject selections to judge eligibility and prepare merit lists for each programme.

What CUET Subject Mapping Means?

Subject mapping refers to matching the CUET subjects a candidate opts for in the application form with the subjects required by the specific course at a university. Each programme at CUK has a defined subject combination that must be selected in the CUET registration. Failure to choose the correct subjects can lead to disqualification of the application during the admission process, even if the candidate scores well in the exam.

CUET Subject Structure

Under the CUET UG 2026 framework, candidates can choose up to five subjects from:

Languages (Section I)
Domain subjects (Section II)
General Test (Section III)

These subjects are used in different combinations to determine eligibility for various undergraduate courses.

Here’s how the CUET subject requirements are mapped for key undergraduate programmes at CUK:

B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering): Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

B.Sc (Psychology) and B.Sc (Geography): General Test subjects applicable
B.A (English, Economics, History, Social Work): General Test
BBA (Business Administration): General Test
B.A. LLB (5-year integrated law): General Test

For these programmes, candidates must ensure they choose the General Aptitude Test or appropriate subject options as defined by the university’s mapping.

Why Correct Subject Mapping Matters?

Correct subject mapping ensures that candidates are eligible for admission to their chosen programmes at CUK. Even if a student performs well in CUET, failing to select the prescribed combination for a specific course may result in their application being rejected at the verification stage.

Tips for Applicants

Carefully review the CUK CUET mapping before filling the CUET application form.
Prepare the CUET subjects that are relevant to the courses you intend to apply to.
Ensure that your chosen subjects align with the eligibility criteria and mapping table required by each programme.
Double-check selections before submitting the CUET form to avoid complications at the admission stage.
