CBSE Private Candidate Form 2027: Last Date, Apply Online

The CBSE Private Candidate Form 2027 has been released for Class 10 and Class 12 students. The Central Board of Secondary Education opened the online application window today, October 8, 2026, through its official website, cbse.gov.in.

Students who fall under the private candidate categories can now submit the CBSE Class 10, 12 Private Candidate Form 2027. The last date to apply and pay the fee without late fee is October 23, 2026. A late-fee window will remain available from October 24 to October 30.

CBSE Private Candidate Form 2027: Who Can Apply?

The new CBSE Private Candidate Registration 2027 is not open to every Class 10 or 12 student. The application is mainly for candidates who were declared Essential Repeat, placed in Compartment, failed or want to improve their performance after passing the 2026 board examination.

Students who had a 2026 board exam roll number but could not appear due to medical reasons can also apply under the conditions given by CBSE. The board has separate rules for Class 10 and Class 12 subjects, so applicants should check their category and subject options before submitting the form.

CBSE Class 10, 12 Private Candidate Form 2027: Check Dates

The application schedule is the same for both Class 10 and Class 12 private candidates. Those who complete the CBSE private candidate application 2027 by October 23 will not have to pay the additional late fee.

Missing the regular deadline does not immediately close the application window. CBSE will accept forms until October 30 with a late fee of Rs 2,000 per candidate. No forms will be accepted after the late-fee deadline.

The board has also set separate charges for additional subjects and practical subjects. For candidates applying from India, the additional-subject fee is Rs 320 per subject, while the Class 12 practical fee is Rs 160 per practical subject. The late fee is charged separately from the regular examination fee.
