The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has announced a major change in the RBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2027 pattern. From the 2026-27 academic session, Class 10 students will get two opportunities to appear for the board examination in the same academic year.
The first RBSE 10th board exam 2027 will be compulsory for all students. Those who pass the first examination can appear in the second exam to improve their marks in up to three subjects. The move aims to reduce exam pressure and give students another chance to improve their performance.
RBSE Class 10 Two Exam Policy 2027: What Has Changed?
Under the new RBSE Class 10 two exam policy, the first examination will remain the main board exam. It is expected to be held in February-March 2027. The second examination will be conducted around May-June and will replace the earlier supplementary examination system.
Students who are satisfied with their first exam scores do not need to take the second exam. Those who want better marks can use the second opportunity for a maximum of three subjects. Both examinations will follow the complete Class 10 syllabus. The new system also provides a route for students who do not meet the passing requirement in a limited number of subjects. The second examination will therefore serve both improvement and remedial purposes.
