RBSE 10th Board Exam 2027 will be conducted twice during the 2026-27 academic session, with the main exam in February-March and remedial exam in May. Eligible students can improve marks in up to three subjects, while higher subject-wise marks will determine the final result.

RBSE 10th Board Exam 2027 Twice a Year: Know Main, Remedial Exam Dates

The RBSE 10th Board Exam 2027 will be conducted twice in the 2026-27 academic session, marking a major change in the Rajasthan Board examination system. The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE) will conduct the first Rajasthan Board 10th Exam 2027 in February-March, followed by a second remedial examination in May.

The new system will give Class 10 students another opportunity to improve their marks without waiting for the next academic session. The RBSE 10th Exam 2026-27 reform is being implemented in line with the broader objectives of reducing examination pressure and providing students with greater flexibility.

RBSE 10th Exam 2027 Schedule: Main and Remedial Exams

Under the revised RBSE 10th Board Exam 2027 system, the first examination will be the main board examination. It will be held in February-March 2027 and will be compulsory for students appearing for the Class 10 board examination.

Students who qualify in the main examination will get an opportunity to appear for the second RBSE 10th remedial exam 2027 in May. The second examination is primarily intended to help eligible students improve their performance.

RBSE 10th Remedial Exam 2027: Who Can Appear?

The RBSE 10th remedial exam 2027 will provide an improvement opportunity to students who have qualified in the main examination but want to increase their marks. Eligible students can appear in the second examination for a maximum of three subjects.

The higher marks obtained in each subject across the two examinations will be considered while preparing the final Rajasthan Board 10th Result 2027. For example, if a student scores 62 marks in Science in the main examination and 72 marks in the remedial examination, the higher score of 72 marks will be counted for the final result. This RBSE best of two rule can be particularly useful for students who perform below expectations in one or more subjects during the February-March examination.

RBSE 10th Best of Two Rule Explained for Students

The revised RBSE 10th Exam 2027 system does not mean that students can skip the first examination and directly appear for the second attempt. The main examination remains the first compulsory examination for eligible Class 10 students. For students appearing in both examinations, the higher subject-wise marks will be used for preparing the final result. Students who are satisfied with their main examination performance do not have to appear for the remedial examination.

Students who qualify in the main exam but do not take the second examination will retain the result based on their main examination performance.

Provisional Class 11 Admission After RBSE 10th Main Exam

The new RBSE Class 10 board exam twice a year system also provides a route for eligible students to continue their studies after the main examination. Students who fall short of the minimum passing marks in a maximum of two subjects may receive provisional admission to Class 11. Their admission can subsequently be made permanent depending on their performance in the second examination.

This provision is significant because students may continue their Class 11 studies while using the RBSE 10th remedial exam 2027 to improve their Class 10 result.
