APAAR ID Requirement and Relaxation

CBSE has clarified that APAAR IDs (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) are generally required, but there is relief provided under certain circumstances to avoid disadvantaging students.

  • If APAAR ID cannot be generated due to a lack of parental consent, schools must retain written proof of refusal, and such students will be marked “REFUSED” in LOC.
  • If the APAAR ID is not generated due to technical or administrative issues, schools may use the entry “NOGEN” (Not Generated).
  • In other cases, APAAR ID must be included.

What Schools & Private Candidates Must Do?

  • Verify all candidate data, including name, birthdate, and subject codes, via the data verification slip introduced by CBSE. Corrections allowed only during the specified window.
  • Ensure photos and subject choices are correctly updated before LOC submission.
  • Keep an eye on the web module for CWSN (Children With Special Needs) candidates who need exemption or special accommodations. Facilities for this will also follow the LOC timeline.
